The Global economy is currently facing what is potentially its worst financial crisis in recent decades. In order to transform an economic system that is based on carbon fuels to a clean renewable power system, it is imperative for engineers and economists to collaborate effectively.

Acknowledging the needs of students and early-stage professionals for additional knowledge and further awareness in the fields of renewable energy, energy management and economics, the School of Science and Technology is organising an event where leading experts from Greece and abroad will share valuable knowledge and know-how. A fertile interaction between academics, current and prospective students is expected to take place.

Attendance is free and open for students of various backgrounds as the event has an interdisciplinary nature, for professionals, the general public and all those who wish to gain an insight into issues regarding energy, energy politics and the economy.

Transfer to IHU: There will be a free return bus service from Thessaloniki city centre (in front of AUTH’s Faculty of Engineering Central Entrance at Egnatia Street) to the International Hellenic University. Time of departure is 16.15 (please arrive before that - priority will be given on a first come first served basis).

Due to the limited number of available seats on the bus, you are encouraged to register online for the event and indicate your transport preference at your earliest convenience.
