Hi!

I'm a dutch student, and after the summer I'll stay in Greece for half a year, so i'm looking for a room in that period. From the 1th of September I will be in Lesvos, and from the 1th of October till the end of Januari I'll be on Lesvos. Any idea where I can look for a room? I would like to stay in a house with more students, sharing bathroom/kitchen/etc. is no problem as i'm living with 21 other student right now!

Hi, thanx for your quick reaction. I hope i'll find a room soon. I didn't found out more about the glutenfree diet, but i think i will be fine as i have the idea that in the greek kitchen a lot of fresh vegetables en pure meat is used, which is all fine for me. So probably i will survive

It would be more than helpful to meet someone from the students or people who read the content of this site in Syros...I dont know if there are any volunteers. Anyone please? It's for a good cause

I'm looking forward to help u as far as I can! If you feel this is ok, I'll try to contact some fellow colleagues in order to give you a little help! I'm not really 100% sure how far can we go to help you, but we'll be really happy to!

Oh, just another thing that I forgot! You should bear in mind that the city is not very big, and everything is not far that 20min on foot! (but there is also a free public mini-bus that helps a lot!)
So, even if you are in not-exactly-in-the-centre (where the cost may be really high, but it depends on various factors), you can surely have no problem to have access to the Uni in no time!

You may also use the mobile phone number: +306936686311 or text(sms) us as well (it's our team's number), and in any case you can contact us directly, so to pass you in a fellow student in Syros as soon as possible!


P.S: When u come to Greece, you can find and purchase in any kiosk (we spell it "periptero"="περίπτερο") a "pay-as-you-go" sim card so to make it more cost-efficient for you..
Some pre-paid cards / "pay-as-you-go" packs, from the 4 mobile telecommunication companies in Greece, are:

...and there are plenty of options, with costs ranging from around 3-20 EUROS in general!
