I am not an Erasmus student, but still my Greek is not good enough to post a message in the Greek pages.
I have a job at the University of the Aegean in the School of Cultural Technology and Communication and I need to move to Mytilini by mid-January.
and I was wondering if any of you could help me out to find a room beforehand so that when I arrive, I can start working straight away.
so if you know anyone who is looking for a flatmate or rent away his/her flat, please contact me.
Some info:
I am French, but I live in London at the moment. I am 24 years old. I speak German, some Greek and a bit of Polish, as I did a BA and a MA in European Studies. I just finished my MA in Art Gallery and Museum Studies at the University of Manchester. I am starting the job with the university of the Aegean end of November, but I just need to get to Greece in January.
I'd say I am funny, really sociable and adaptable. I love to cook and have nice dinners with friends. I love crazy board games. I am quite dynamic, I love sports in general. I don't know how Mytilini is, but if possible I'd like to go around biking and I can't stay still for really long, though I really enjoy watching TV...
I'd like to find a room in a flat/house with nice and funny people, with whom I can practice my Greek.

PS1: An idea that came up into my mind just now! What about to start a topic here, in this section, about Greek learning, in order to help you a bit? I don't really know how it could be done, but I believe it would be fun to share some things via this forum, sth like ...an "on-line greek lessons experience!"...
Any idea is welcome!

PS2: Hope there are people here to answer on this topic and help you more in Lesvos island! Unfortunately, I study in Syros and I can't help you 100%!

Hi everyone!
I am still looking for a room but there are some news. The School of Cultural Technology and Communication has employed a second researcher, starting at the same time as me. So it is now two of us looking for accomodation. If you have any idea how we can find a flat (through agencies or with private landlord), please let me know.
Also could you give me an idea of prices for a studio, 1-bedroom flat, 2 bedroom flat or a room in a house/flat to share.
We are starting our job on 14th January. Ideally we would like to have found an accomodation before arriving. I will probably arrive on 12th January.
